Kenya Boats--Mooring Facilities

Moorings and Mooring Fees

Kenya Boats is based in an idyllic creek situated creek situatedcreek situatedjust 18km North of Mombasa and 12 miles south of Vipingo Ridge Golf development.

We are situated in a quiet creek, which is very sheltered from the ocean.  The Creek extends 15km in land it is navigable for about 12 of those kilometres.  You can also get to the entrance to the Indian Ocean in about 10 minutes from our marina.  This gives an ideal location for both leisure and commercial craft.

Our mooring is considered a deep water mooring the depth of the channel never goes below five meters so most boats can reach us at any time of day.  If a boat can reach us for any reason we are able to moor them further upstream on several moorings we have.

We consider the leisure craft business in Kenya to be very important and should be stress free for anyone wanting to enjoy the creeks, reefs and ocean.

Our ethos is to offer our customers the best in service at all times from our office staff to our boat men we are open every day from 6.30am to 5pm and 6pm in the high season.  All staff are trained and capable of looking after your every need.  We have a walk on Jetty straight from the beach which allows you easy access to your craft, our staff are always on hand to help you carry your skis , cooler box or fishing tackle and to ensure you leave on time.

There are many places to visit for the leisure visitor from gentle cruising down the creek for a sundowner to water skiing or wakeboarding for that full adrenaline rush.  There is also easy access to the Indian Ocean for the fishermen among you and also straight access to the lagoon along the coast all the way down to Mombasa Port.  This area is a KWS reserve and has some lovely areas for swimming, snorkelling or even diving.  With sand bars at low tide for those who wish to wander along virgin sand, looking into the rock pools for the sea life left behind by the tide.

For the commercial user we offer full back up for any requirement we have looked after many oil exploration vessels up to 60 tons.  We can beach your craft, moor your craft, we have full engineering workshops with highly trained staff on site to assist with any repairs and maintenance you require.  For long term mooring we can take over the monitoring of your craft, start engines, run bilges, monitor batteries and offer full security.
With our workshops and welding bays, we can weld steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on site you can discuss any requirement for repairs or re-structuring of your craft directly with us.  We can then carry out the required work on site and to a time table.
